∘ Ramaz Abesadze ∘ Eter Kakulia ∘ Nana Bibilashvili ∘ Qristine (Ketevan) Kuratashvili ∘ SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND THE IMPACT OF THE PANDEMIC ON THE ACHIEVEMENT OF ITS GOALS Abstract The pandemic has had a negative impact on almost all of the Goals of Sustainable Development and threatened their implementation. This was caused due to the fact that, as a result of the pandemic: the economy experienced a significant recession, a decrease in income, an increase in poverty, unemployment and famine, deepening in inequality within and between countries, worsening of sanitary standards, deterioration of infrastructure and environmental conditions, significant disruptions in the systems of healthcare, education, science and in the realization of innovational plans, universal access to reliable, stable and modern energy, improving human well-being in the final report. It is highly likely that most of the Sustainable Development Goals will not be met by 2030, despite significant efforts. |
