ON THE ECONOMIC MODELS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION AND GEORGIA

Summary A common vision about the issues concerning the direction of development of Georgia’s economy after the restoration of the country’s independence and the model upon which it should be based was not established during the long time. Coming to power in late 2012, the Georgian Dream (GD) was faced with a number of challenges with one of the most crucial comprising the reaching of an Association Agreement with the EU. A key constituent of the Agreement is the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) agreement with the EU. For the United National Movement government, adherence to the “European track” was, unfortunately, largely confined to articulation while in actuality efforts were being directed at ensuring that Georgia’s rapprochement with the EU did not materialize. The country had instead mapped a path towards “Singaporization.” The GD government managed to secure Georgia’s signature of the Association Agreement in June

GOVERNMENT REGULATION OF EXTERNALITIES

Summary  In modern global economy the government regulation of externalities acquires extremely great importance and it is one of the main directions of the functioning of public sector economics. The market is not able to function equally in all spheres of the economy, and in some of them does not act at all, it is not capable to solve many other problems. Business instability creates unemployment, inflation and conditions for the bankruptcy of entrepreneurs. Market competition causes income differences in a society and unfair income distribution. Therefore, the market fails to provide the low-income layers of population with goods and services necessary for existence. The market cannot eradicate social evils; solve issues associated with natural disasters. It cannot provide security, ensure the functioning of social institutions, and also, which is extremely important, the market cannot protect environment and solve ecological

INNOVATIVE MANAGEMENT AS AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT OF SUCCESSFUL FUNCTIONING OF THE COUNTRYS ECONOMY

Summary  According to Albert Einstein, "If you do everything the same as before, you will get what you've got before." In the life of any person there comes a time when it is necessary to change something in order to improve the life achievements. The similar changes are also important for the existence of organizations and even states. As one of the most successful innovators of all time, Steve Jobs said, innovation is the only way to win. Any person has a creative talent – an ability to invent or improve something. An important factor for people with creative talents is a freedom, a wide area to create something valuable. If such a freedom, an area are not allowed in order to develop the ideas, then the chance of generating innovative ideas on this particular area and then implementing them, is reduced to a minimun. So, what does the freedom and the wide area mean, and what role the state has in this direction in order to make the citizens of the country and especially
