Summary

The paper discusses the current situation in the health care system of Georgia and highlights the main factors that influence the development of the health care sector in an innovative way. The problems of diffusion of innovations and hindering factors are analyzed, such as the cost-effectiveness of spending on health care, high prices and low availability of medicines, problems in the field of primary health care, signs of oligopoly in the mentioned field, scarce financing of the health sector, etc.
