Summary 

Article is devoted to the problems of formation of the social protection policy of unemployed persons in Georgia. Single outs factors conditioned disadvantages of the labor market and no adequacy and irrelevancy of the active and passive labor market instruments used in the country.  The main deficiencies of the integrated labor market policy with the programs of social protection of vulnerable groups of population are stressed out. Current and future results of such policies are evaluated. Authors opinions on eradication of the existed gaps and determination of priority policy instruments are substantiated. The cancelation integrated with the social protection programs of the vulnerable groups of population and its replacement by the priority labor market mechanisms, in the medium and long run, used in countries with market economies are recommended.
