Summary

The paper discusses the current situation, challenges and existing problems in the transport sector of Georgia. The transport sector is one of the fastest growing sectors, which makes a significant contribution to the country's economic development, however, the development of this sector is also associated with a number of social and environmental problems and deserves special attention both at the national and international levels.
