The study reviews the role of international organizations that set standards and manage risks in tourism, whose experiences are utilized by relevant Georgian authorities. The author presents an overview of the country’s tourist centers, including their capacity and development status. The paper also discusses the underlying causes of challenges in the sector, as well as the legislative acts and regulations governing tourism development in Georgia.
