ECOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF GREEN DEVELOPMENT OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMY: ECOLOGICALLY SUSTAINABLE USE OF NATURAL RESOURCES, ECOLOGICALLY SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION AND CONSUMPTION

Summary

The concept of "green economy" is designed precisely to ensure harmonization between three components - economic, social, environmental (ecological). And this is acceptable for all groups of countries - developed, developing and underdeveloped countries. Supporters of the concept of "green economy" believe that the existing economic system, the so-called "brown economy" is imperfect. Although it has produced significant results in improving the living standards of people in general and their individual groups in particular, the negative consequences of the functioning of this system are evident: these are ecological problems (climate change, desertification, loss of biodiversity); depletion of natural capital; poverty; shortages of fresh water, food, energy; inequality in the level of development of people and countries. All this poses a threat to present and future generations.

Keywords: green development, ecology, natural resources, "brown" economy, ecosystem.
