GEORGIAN SOIL TYPES AND RELATED SAFETY

Summary

The paper discusses the essence and importance of land resources. Georgian soil types and their characteristics are studied. The causes of soil erosion and the ways and methods of combating it are analyzed. The necessity of training more qualified personnel in the agricultural sector (soil scientists, geologists, geomorphologists, seismologists, agronomists, rangers, etc.) is highlighted, which requires support from the state. The ecological and economic threats that improper attitude towards land resources can cause are indicated. The ways and methods of preventive measures against natural disasters such as landslides, mudslides, etc. are characterized.
