∘ Vladimer Sulaberidze ∘ DEMOGRAPHIC SECURITY STRATEGY OF GEORGIA Summary The work presented here addresses one of the most important issues: the demographic security strategy of our country. This issue is highly relevant today and aims to halt the countrys depopulation. It also aims to stabilise population growth through the rationalisation of migration. To achieve this, the following tasks must be completed: stabilising the birth rate to ensure population growth; improving health to reduce mortality; slowing the rate of demographic ageing and increasing life expectancy at birth; rationalising migration and optimising resettlement; and stimulating marriage and the formation of strong families. The work broadly presents the expected consequences of demographic threats to the development of demographic processes with undesirable trends. Attention is also focused on the main demographic factors affecting socio-demographic threats. Keywords: Population, Depopulation, Demographic security strategy. |
